New Music: Tweet - 'Won't Hurt Me'

  /  09.21.2015

Tweet is getting in on the early ’00s comeback wave. The R&B chanteuse, who rose to fame with her 2002 hit “Oops (Oh My),” has announced a new album called Charlene (her first name), and shared the first single, “Won’t Hurt Me” (via Yahoo Music).

Over mellow acoustic guitar, Tweet ends a relationship. “Do whatever it is you got to do,” she sings. “It won’t hurt me.”

“I am beyond excited that I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to team up with eOne and release the first single,” said Tweet. “I can’t wait for my supporters to hear this project and take them along this new chapter of self-discovery.”

Charlene, her first project since 2013’s Simply Tweet EP, is slated for an early 2016 release.
