Nicki Minaj has been immortalized in wax. On the one-year anniversary of “Anaconda,” the rap diva received her very own wax figure at Madame Tussauds in Las Vegas.
Inspired by her famous “Anaconda” video, the statue portrays Nicki on all fours with her booty in the air, wearing the same outfit from the video. During the big unveiling on Tuesday (Aug. 4), dancers recreated scenes from the video.
Nicki becomes the first female rapper to get her own wax figure at the museum, but the whole thing came as a surprise to her.
“YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WTF?!?!?!?!??!?? Had no idea they were really doing this. I would’ve went to Vegas for this,” she tweeted.
Nicki was not present at the ceremony, but Team Minaj showed up and represented.
She joins an illustrious list of hip-hop icons to grace the halls of Madame Tussauds including Snoop Dogg, Tupac Shakur, Notorious B.I.G., and Diddy.
