Video: Rick Ross - 'Family Ties'
In the midst of Meek Mill’s Twitter tirade, his MMG boss Rick Ross rolls out a video for “Family Ties,” a cut off last year’s album Hood Billionaire. In the Ryan Snyder-directed clip, which co-stars his rumored girlfriend Lira Mercer, Rozay luxuriates in Milan, clad in fine white furs and large rings, gazing out with a melancholy air over the city’s gondolas and parks.
Women count euros and pour champagne while Ross tours churches, old cemeteries, and fields of tulips. We perceive the cinematic grandeur of an old Italian mafia don, eulogizing all his old comrades now dead or in jail. It’s lonely at the top.
Speaking of “Family Ties,” Rozay has come to Meek’s defense following his comments about Drake. “@MeekMill speaking facts!!!! Luv mynigga 4L,” he tweeted.
Ross is dealing with his own legal issues stemming from his June 24 arrest on charges of kidnapping, aggravated battery, and assault. Two weeks ago, he was released on $2 million bail after using his mansion as equity.
He is already working on his next album, the tentatively-titled Black Dollar.
