New Music: Monica feat. Lil Wayne - 'Just Right for Me'

Three years since her last album, Monica is back with her Polow Da Don-produced single “Just Right for Me” featuring Lil Wayne. Weezy kicks it off with a verse for the ladies (“Got Monica on my playlist and she on my bae list”) before a lovestruck Monica sings the praises of her man over a knocking beat.

“It’s a record about just being in love and there’s no perfect person, but there is a perfect person for you and that’s the way it is by design,” she told Rap-Up.

In addition to Polow, Monica has been in the studio with Timbaland, Missy Elliott, and Dallas Austin working on Code Red, her first album since 2012’s New Life.

“I talked about everything from heartbreak and love to being married and having children to being a woman who owns her own company and how hard it is to make certain things happen because of it,” she said.
