New Music: Vic Mensa feat. Kanye West - 'U Mad'

  /  04.10.2015

After guesting on “Wolves,” Vic Mensa recruits Kanye West for his new single “U Mad,” which they debuted live in London in March. The Chicago rappers go back and forth over the horn-heavy beat, produced by Smoko Ono, Kanye, Mike Dean, and Stefan Ponce.

‘Ye references his run-ins with the paparazzi (“There go another lawsuit / It costs so much, man, I shoulda went to law school”), while Vic holds his own with lines like, “If she bad, I might hit a bitch in the elevator like Ray Rice.”

Earlier today, Vic made his Coachella debut. He is working on an EP called Street Lights, which has already spawned 2014’s “Down on My Luck.”
