On Thursday, Wiz Khalifa kicked off his “Under the Influence of Music” tour with Jeezy, Ty Dolla $ign, Mack Wilds, and more. But Tyga was noticeably absent. The Young Money rapper pulled out of the tour earlier this month, leaving Wiz in the dark.
“He didn’t tell me at all,” the Taylor Gang leader told Mina SayWhat during an interview on Power 99’s “Rise N Grind Morning Show.” “His people was just like, ‘Nah, we ain’t gonna be on the tour.'”
Tyga said that he was filming a movie and finishing up his album, but Wiz calls it a “wack excuse.”
The two haven’t spoken since. “I’m sure he’ll probably hear interviews of me saying that I thought that it was wack and he didn’t reach out,” said Wiz. “I’m the type of person, I talk to people when I want to. We cool, that’s the homie, and that was just a wack move.”
“I felt like that was just corny, man,” he continued. “We’re better than that ’cause at the end of the day, you don’t say album and a movie just to sound like you got something to do ’cause I did my album before my tour and I’m shooting a movie as soon as I get home off the tour, and I got a son too. At the end of the day, what do you want to do with your life?”
But the tour is moving along fine without him. “The chemistry’s good,” said Wiz. “Everybody was outside in the back, skatin’ around, smokin’, chillin’. It was tight, man. We all watched each other’s shows. It’s gonna be a lot of fun ’cause nobody’s bougie.”
The “Under the Influence of Music” tour continues tonight in Camden, N.J. and wraps August 24 in Irvine, Calif. Other acts on the bill include Rich Homie Quan, Sage the Gemini, Iamsu!, and DJ Drama.
UPDATE: Tyga has responded, tweeting, “@wizkhalifa that’s my dawg 4 life.”
