'Weird Al' Yankovic Spoofs Pharrell's 'Happy' in 'Tacky' Video

Weird Al Yankovic

You know you’ve made it when Weird Al spoofs your song. The parodist remakes Pharrell’s inescapable hit “Happy” in “Tacky,” his first of eight music videos to be released over the next eight days.

The clip, shot at the Palace Theatre in downtown Los Angeles, stars comedians Aisha Tyler, Margaret Cho, Eric Stonestreet, Kristen Schaal, and Jack Black.

While sporting a wild wardrobe, Weird Al pokes fun at all things tacky including a YOLO license plate and taking selfies at funerals.

“Now I’m dropping names almost constantly / That’s what Kanye West keeps tellin’ me,” he sings.

Al’s 14th album Mandatory Fun drops tomorrow and includes parodies of Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy,” Lorde’s “Royals,” and Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines.”

Watch his first of eight videos below.
