Jennifer Lopez

From the block to the Billboard Music Awards. Jennifer Lopez became the fourth artist and first woman to receive the Icon Award at Sunday’s annual ceremony in Las Vegas. Iggy Azalea and Ricky Martin introduced the international superstar, who has sold over 75 million records worldwide.

Her peers including Rihanna, Mary J. Blige, and Taylor Swift paid tribute to her in a video montage before J.Lo took the stage in a shimmery bodysuit to perform her new single “First Love” off her upcoming album A.K.A.

An overwhelmed J.Lo thanked her family including her mother and sister, who were both in the audience. She also shared some encouraging words for the young kids at home watching.

“Have faith, dream big, think big, and know that anything is possible,” she said. “You never know where you might end up.”
