Kelly Rowland is officially off the market. The “Motivation” singer reportedly tied the knot with her manager and best friend Tim Witherspoon in an intimate ceremony over the weekend.
Sources confirm to Billboard that the wedding took place on Friday, May 9, in Costa Rica.
“It was a quick, simple ceremony—only around 30 people,” a source tells Us Weekly of the couple’s nuptials.
Her Destiny’s Child bandmates Beyoncé and Michelle Williams as well as Solange and Tina Knowles were among the guests.
On Saturday, Beyoncé posted a photo on Instagram in what appeared to be a bridesmaids dress with the caption “GoodMorning.”
Kelly has remained mum about her wedding, but on Monday she stepped out to the opening night spring gala for the American Ballet Theatre in New York. She kept her hands in her pockets to avoid any potential ring shots.
Kelly was in Bulgaria when Witherspoon proposed to her on Skype last year. The couple kept their relationship private for years before she announced her engagement on “The Queen Latifah Show” in December.
“He put a ring on it,” said Kelly. “We’ve kept it very, very low—for years, to be completely honest.”
This is the first marriage for the 33-year-old, who was previously engaged to football player Roy Williams before they ended their relationship in January 2005.
