Good Kisser

Ten years after releasing his seminal album Confessions, Usher is preparing his next big project. In between his coaching gig on “The Voice,” the R&B superstar has been in the studio working on his eighth album, the follow-up to 2012’s Looking 4 Myself.

After dropping hints on Instagram, he has officially announced the first single “Good Kisser” and posted a teaser video. In the 40-second clip, he shows off some slick moves as he performs on a black sound stage with “XY” in fluorescent lights behind him.

“Good Kisser” was co-written by Usher with Andrew “Pop” Wansel, Ronald “Flip” Colson, Jameel Roberts, Terry “Tru” Sneed, and Warren “Oak” Felder, and produced by Pop, Flip, JProof, Terry “Tru” Sneed, Natural, and Oak.

The song will hit iTunes on May 5, while the Chris Sims-directed video will premiere on VEVO the same day. Usher’s new album is due this fall on RCA Records.

He has been in the studio with hitmakers including Rico Love, Jermaine Dupri, Mike WiLL Made It, and Pharrell, who he joined onstage at Coachella earlier this month.

“Please get ready for this man’s next album. It’s so amazing!” Pharrell told the crowd.
