If you couldn’t get your hands on a pair of red Yeezys, don’t worry. Kanye West’s next collection will be arriving this summer.
After ending his relationship with Nike last year, West is hard at work on his first adidas collection. On Monday, he took the stage at adidas’ Global Brand Conference in Germany.
In addition to performing his hits including “Black Skinhead,” he spoke to his new partners at adidas.
“I always dreamed of having a record deal, being able to make music, being able to rap, and that dream was accomplished,” said ‘Ye. “Always wanted to have a family, have children, get married, that dream is about to be accomplished.”
He also provided some insight into his collaboration with adidas and praised the brand for giving him creative freedom.
“We’re creating an entirely new idea of the way to wear and use apparel,” said the DONDA founder. “This was the company that was experienced and brave enough to give me the opportunity to create.”
Before leaving, he announced that the new adidas-branded Yeezy sneakers would arrive in June.
“In June, we’ll see the new Yeezys,” said ‘Ye as the crowd cheered.
