Charli XCX and Beyoncé

Rap superstars and indie bands converged in Austin, Texas to celebrate the 10th annual mtvU Woodie Awards during SXSW. Lil Wayne kicked off the 35-minute show by performing a verse from “A Milli” and a new freestyle.

“Tonight, we here to celebrate the theme of my life, and that’s music,” said Weezy.

Following an introduction from Danny Brown and Steve Aoki, Iggy Azalea rocked a Clueless-inspired getup while performing her latest single “Fancy” with Charli XCX as balloons and confetti filled the stage.

Childish Gambino capped off the show with an electrifying set, entering from the back of the venue covered in LED lights. Accompanied by a marching band, he performed a medley of “3005” and “Sweatpants.”

Drake won the Woodie of the Year, which Lil Wayne accepted on his behalf. “Cannot be more fu**in’ happier for my man Drizzy,” said Weezy.

Other winners included Beyoncé (Did It My Way Woodie), Chance the Rapper (Best Video Woodie), Ed Sheeran (Performing Woodie), and A$AP Rocky and Skrillex (Best Collaboration Woodie).
