Pia Mia took the Internet by storm, and now she’s ready to take her career to the next level. The 17-year-old singer-songwriter has signed a deal with Interscope Records.
The Pacific Island girl, who was born and raised on Guam, became a viral sensation with her YouTube covers of Rihanna and Bruno Mars and her a capella performance of “Hold On, We’re Going Home” in front of Drake, Kanye West, and the Kardashians.
On February 25, her six-track debut EP, The Gift (Wolfpack/Interscope), will be available at digital retailers featuring her single “Red Love” and cover of “Hold On, We’re Going Home.” An eight-track version of the EP was released for free in December.
“I want to show everyone that people from small places can achieve their dreams no matter how big they are,” said Pia.
Additionally, her song “Fight for You” featuring Chance the Rapper will be featured on the soundtrack to the sci-fi thriller Divergent, available March 11.
