New Music: Lil' Kim - 'Dead Gal Walking'
Lil’ Kim celebrates Halloween by delivering the first single off her upcoming mixtape Hard Core 2K13. The Queen Bee takes it to the streets on the gritty, dancehall-flavored record.
“We live by the gun, die by the gun/ So please don’t you trouble we/ I let a lot of the bullshit slide/ Cross the queen and you get buried alive,” she raps in a Jamaican patois.
She explained the message behind the song. “It’s a very strong, serious record, but at the same time, feel-good,” Kim told MTV News. “There’s a lot of things that can turn you into a dead girl or a dead man walking and nobody wants to be that. So, I guess my message is ‘Don’t become a dead girl or dead man walking. Live your life right.'”
Hard Core 2K13 drops on Nov. 29 aka Black Friday.
