Chris Brown was arrested early Sunday in Washington, D.C. for felony assault after allegedly attacking a man outside a hotel.
According to TMZ, the 24-year-old singer got into an argument with a man outside the W Hotel around 4:30 a.m. and allegedly punched him in the face.
His bodyguard Chris Hollosy, 35, was reportedly also arrested on felony assault charges.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ that two women approached Brown and asked to take a photo with him. While the pic was being taken, two men rushed into the shot. Chris reportedly said, “I’m not into this gay shit, I’m into boxing,” and punched the alleged victim. The fight was then taken to the ground.
The victim claims that Brown broke his nose and he may need surgery. He also confirmed that he and a friend photo bombed the two women, who were taking a picture with Brown.
Brown’s camp tells a different story and says that Chris was just trying to prevent a trespass. They claim that the victim was not looking for a photo and was instead attempting to get on his tour bus.
The singer is currently in police custody and will remain in jail today and tonight.
Earlier in the evening, Brown hosted a party at The Park at Fourteenth nightclub.
He remains on probation for the 2009 beating of Rihanna. He pled guilty to one count of felony assault as part of a plea deal.
