Nelly and Future Perform on 'Arsenio'
With his album M.O. in stores, Nelly continued his promo tour with a visit to “The Arsenio Hall Show” on Tuesday. Sporting a Beatles T-shirt, the St. Louis rapper performed “Give U Dat” with some help from Future.
“This album is to reinstate Nelly back into the music business,” he said of his seventh album.
Arsenio, a Dodgers fan, also made a bet with Cardinals fan Nelly that if the Dodgers win the NCLS he has to return to the show and perform “Country Grammar” in a Dodgers uniform.
He also asked him about the controversial Miley Cyrus. “I think Miley’s very talented,” said Nelly, who appears on the singer’s album Bangerz. “I think people overlook that because sometimes we want people to remain the same way that they are. … I understand some people may not like it, but she’s an artist. We don’t have to be politically correct.”
Plus, he spoke about his fitness regimen, his famous Band-Aid, and his relationship with Kelly Rowland. “Kelly is a phenomenal person, she’s a phenomenal artist, and she’s just like a sister to me,” he said.
