DMX Opens Up to Dr. Phil About Streaking, Drug Addiction, & Child Support
Iyanla couldn’t fix his life, so DMX sat down with Dr. Phil this week for some therapy. The embattled rapper opened up about his longtime battle with drug addiction, his erratic behavior, and headline-making arrests. He also explained his recent streaking incident in a hotel.
“It was a bet, it was a dare,” said X of the incident, which was posted on TMZ. “The dare was order room service and run through the hallway naked. I was like, ‘I’ll do that.'”
When asked what his biggest mistakes have been, he responded, “I wouldn’t redo anything ’cause it got me right here, right where I’m at right now. I’m in a good place. No regrets.”
DMX has 11 children (with one more on the way) and is $1.23 million behind in child support. “At a time, I was making $13 million dollars a year, so if I’m making $13 million a year, then I can pay that,” he said. “And I haven’t made that in about 10 years, so of course I’m behind in payments, but the children are taken care of.”
