Oh gawd! Miley Cyrus turns up the heat in the video for Big Sean’s “Fire.” The Detroit rapper calls on the pop star to play leading lady in the striking visuals, directed by Matthew Williams for DONDA.
But don’t expect to see her twerking. Instead, the former “Hannah Montana” star strikes a series of sultry poses, sitting on a burning cube and smashing a bouquet of roses.
“It’s about getting through the tough times, through the fire, and always evolving. Whether it’s in relationships, personal, in your work, etc.,” says Big Sean of the song. “Miley’s character in the visual represents a metaphor for people who may have changed and evolved into something beautiful, who have evolved past certain relationships—the picture of me burning symbolizes an old romance and coming out victorious and beautiful as a flower.”
“Fire” will appear on Sean’s sophomore album Hall of Fame, due August 27. He has also collaborated with Miley on her upcoming album.
