Beyoncé has been very protective of Blue Ivy since her birth, but she is showing off her bundle of joy in her new HBO documentary Beyoncé: Life Is But a Dream. The adorable one-year-old daughter of Bey and Jay-Z steals the screen as her proud mama holds her up in a still from the film.
Bey, who calls Blue her “road dog,” “homey,” and “best friend,” is cautious about putting her baby in the public eye, but still wants her to have a normal childhood. “I will still be protective and make sure she has a childhood and a great time,” she told “E! News.”
Mrs. Carter realizes that when Blue gets older, she will not be able to control everything, but she isn’t worried. “At some point, you know it is what it is, you can’t control it anymore,” she said. “But I know as long as I’m the mother that I know I can be and the mother I have—such an incredible mother—my daughter’s going to be fine.”
See more of baby Blue and her mother when the film premieres tomorrow at 9 p.m. on HBO.
