A producer who flips his own beat and raps on it; Hit Boy is nothing short of resourceful. The super-producer takes the beat he gave to A$AP Rocky, “Goldie,” and adds his own twist to it along with fellow Hit family members Audio Push and K. Roosevelt.
Although his mega-hit “Ni**as In Paris” for Jay-Z and Kanye West still burns up the clubs, Hit Boy has quickly garnered traction for his rapping. He recently released “The Long Way” with Audio Push. When Rap-Up TV caught up with Hit at the 2012 BMI Urban Awards in L.A., he shared that he had also played his album HITstory for his idol Jay-Z. “I got to play the album for Hov and he asked me for a copy on the spot, so that was just an accomplishment in itself.”
He just signed an artist development deal with The Blueprint Group run by industry vets Gee Roberson and Kyambo “Hip Hop” Joshua of Hip Hop Since 1978 and Cortez Bryant (Lil Wayne, Drake).
