Mariah Carey Addresses Pregnancy Rumors

Mariah Carey made headlines earlier this week when she turned up to perform in Brazil, looking a bit bustier than usual. After remaining silent on speculation that she was pregnant, Mimi has finally broken her silence, releasing a vague statement to her website that neither confirms nor denies that she’s got a bun in the oven.

“I appreciate everyone’s well wishes. But I am very superstitious,” said the singer. “When the time is right, everyone will know — even Cindi Berger [my publicist].”

Hubbie Nick Cannon has also remained mum on the subject, telling New York City’s 92.3 NOW FM radio station that his 40-year-old sugar mama wouldn’t discuss her pregnancy status. “Honestly… I say this to you so you can tell whoever it is you’ve got to tell, we all know it’s extremely personal, and it is for a woman to deal with things with her body, and especially when dealing with the idea of childbirth and all that stuff,” he stated.

“I’ve said it before and I’ll say it time and time again,” he continued. “When my wife feels like talking about whatever she wants to talk about, you will hear it directly from her.”
