XXXTentacion’s music lives on.
Following the death of the 20-year-old rapper, who was gunned down in Florida, his music has seen a major boost in sales. He currently occupies the No. 1 and No. 2 albums on Amazon’s Movers and Shakers Digital Music charts. His March album ? saw a 41,306% spike in just hours, while 2017’s 17 is up nearly 9,000%.
Outside of digital music, XXX has also seen a spike in physical copies. He holds the No. 1 and 2 spots on Amazon as ? jumps 542,566% and 17 sees a 54,057% spike in sales, according to TMZ.
On iTunes, “SAD!” is currently No. 1, while “changes” sits at No. 5. XXX’s ?, which topped the Billboard 200 in March, is No. 3 on iTunes charts, while 17 is No. 5.
Spotify, who removed XXX’s music from their playlists following domestic abuse charges filed against him by his pregnant girlfriend, featured an “RIP XXXTentacion” banner and his playlist at the top of its browse carousel.
XXXTentacion was shot and killed on Monday (June 18) in Florida in what police called an apparent robbery attempt.
