Azealia Banks hits the runway with the release of her fashion-inspired anthem “Anna Wintour.”
The dance floor-ready bop is not just a celebration of the Vogue editor-in-chief. It’s also a celebration of love. “I feel in love, babe,” she sings. “I really know that your love is enough / I’m so lucky you found me the day I needed love.”
Banks also drops some rhymes on this track, breaking down her “clones” and “side show” competition. “En vogue, I do what you can’t know,” she raps. “I’m runway, you know they a side show / I’m first page, the main stage as I pose / The one dame, the one name that y’all know.”
Banks hopes the song becomes the “gay wedding anthem of summer 2018.” “I can just imagine everyone walking down the aisle to this joint!” she said.
Banks, who recently pled guilty in her longstanding “boob-biting” case, is prepping the release of her upcoming album, Fantasea II: The Second Wave.
