Lil Wayne and Birdman might look like they’re reconciling, but their $51 million legal battle continues.
Despite a recent reunion, the lawsuit is getting “bitter,” according to sources. One insider says that it’s even become “hostile,” as per The Blast.
“There will be no connection, no ties, and no business relationship” once it’s over, said one source.
Cash Money must provide Wayne with vital documents. In particular, Weezy is seeking key information about Drake and Nicki Minaj, according to the report.
Things seemed to be improving. The pair recently embraced one another at a nightclub. Shortly after that, they appeared side-by-side in a photo. Another report claimed that the duo has been reconciling for months.
Birdman recently spoke with Rap-Up about Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter V, which is in limbo due to this legal war. “We’ll get that this year,” he said. “I’m guaranteeing you gon’ get it this year.”
“[Wayne] is the best ever to me,” he added. “A lot of success comes from under his umbrella. I think it’s gonna be the biggest album of 2018, one of them. Without a doubt. It’s gonna be well worth the wait.”
