After traveling “To the Moon,” KYLE clicks with Kehlani on “Playinwitme.” The California connection creates a relatable cut about the games that people play in relationships.

“Girl, why are you playing with me?” asks KYLE over the playful instrumental. “Girl, who are you playing with? You’ve been on that new stuff / I’ve been on that same shit.”

Accompanied by an acoustic guitar and piano keys, Lani Tsunami later takes aim at a girl of her own. “Damn, why are you playing with me?” she sings. “You don’t even like girls / So I need you to tell me, baby, what you want just like the Spice Girls.”

KYLE and Kehlani go back. The two met at a house party several years ago. They dropped their “Just a Picture” collaboration in 2015. “Playinwitme” is off KYLE’s forthcoming album, which also features 2 Chainz, Sophia Black, and Khalid.

“I have a record on there featuring Khalid that is insane,” KYLE recently told Beats 1. “I cannot stop playing it. I wake up every morning and I play [it]. It’s one of the best songs I’ve ever made. It’s featuring your boy Khalid and he snapped. It’s called ‘I Miss Me.'”

The 2 Chainz and Sophia Black collaboration is a “Japanese trap banger,” he later revealed.

Up next, KYLE will perform at Coachella and join Logic’s “Bobby Tarantino Vs. Everybody Tour,” which kicks off June 8 in Boston and ends Aug. 3 in St. Louis.
