Meek Mill continues to get love, from the Super Bowl to the Olympics.
Slovenian snowboarder Tit Stante recently surprised fans watching the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games, when he hoisted his snowboard to reveal that “#FreeMeekMill” was written on it.
The gesture, made during the halfpipe qualifiers, continues a message of support for the Philadelphia rapper, who is currently serving a 2-4 year prison sentence for probation violations.
Tit Stante is not alone in his well wishes for the incarcerated MC. The Super Bowl-winning Philadelphia Eagles used his “Dreams and Nightmares (Intro)” as their Super Bowl entry song and playoff run anthem.
Meek recently addressed the outpouring of support. “I wish my current situation was different, and that I could be with my brothers on that team, and the other Eagles fans, in celebrating this once-in-a-lifetime experience,” he said. “But I have faith that truth and justice will win out in the end.”
JAY-Z, Drake, Colin Kaepernick, and many others have also shown Meek love during his most recent trials and tribulations. Many of his supporters believe that his sentence was either not warranted or too harsh based on the circumstances of his case. The Philly MC’s legal team continues to fight the sentence.
