Leon Thomas has made his mark on music, television, movies, and even Broadway. Now, the multifaceted artist, actor, and Grammy-winning producer, who’s collaborated with everyone from Chris Brown to Post Malone to Toni Braxton, unleashes his debut single “Favorite” featuring Buddy.

Over a piano-laden track, the “Insecure” and Detroit star offers soothing vocals to his one and only. “You the only one I see now, you the only one I take out,” he sings. “I’ve been focused on the check, getting all that I can get, but I find my way to you somehow.”

The track already bounces, but Buddy comes in and throws in some hip-hop flavor. “Your love’s explosive and it got me losing focus,” he raps. “You’re my favorite type of drug and I’ve been overdosing.”

Speaking to Rap-Up, Thomas said that the song is special and true to his life. “‘Favorite’ is a song about my journey in being exclusive with the girl of my dreams,” he said. “Every intoxicating encounter leaves me wanting more. I created this song at one of my best friend’s beach home in Venice. Shout out to Roofeeo Wes and Buddy for turning a post-lunch jam session into my first single. I hope this song inspires people to fall in love all over the world.”

After working with the likes of Ariana Grande, Zendaya, and Syd the Kid as part of his production group The Rascals, Thomas is planning to release his EP via Priority/Capitol Records, while continuing his multifaceted career as an actor and musician.
