El Gato is coming to the big screen. Gucci Mane has announced plans to release The Autobiography of Gucci Mane to theaters.
According to a tweet from Guwop, his 2017 biography will be turned into a movie, produced by his own 1017 Films. Released in September of last year, the New York Times Best Seller was co-written by writer Neil Martinez-Belkin.
The film will mark the latest in Gucci Mane’s Hollywood exploration. Last year, he finally unleashed his long-awaited movie The Spot online and announced an indie film with Rick Ross as well as a motion picture based around his latest album, El Gato: The Human Glacier.
Aside from movies, Gucci is still focused on his music career. The rapper, who renewed his deal with Atlantic for a reported $10 million, is working on his next album, The Evil Genius.
