Stream Big Sean & Metro Boomin's Album 'Double or Nothing'

  /  12.07.2017

Big Sean and Metro Boomin roll the dice on Double or Nothing, a joint album from the Detroit spitter and St. Louis producer.

Although it is a Sean Don and Metro operation, the newfound duo isn’t closing its doors on famous friends. Travis Scott (“Go Legend”), 2 Chainz (“Big Bidness”), Kash Doll (“So Good”), Young Thug (“Even the Odds”), 21 Savage (“Pull Up N Wreck”), and Swae Lee (“Reason”) all make cameos.

Released just days after it was announced, the project allows Sean to flex his teamwork skills with Metro. “To try to do it all by yourself — that’s the ego talking,” he said. “Sometimes ego gets you in trouble. You’ve got to be aware enough to have your teammates around.”

Meanwhile, the project allowed Boomin to craft a cohesive set of songs, reminding him of albums he heard growing up. “I was born in ’93,” he explained, “and a lot of projects [from that era] had one producer, maybe two. They sounded more cohesive — better as a whole.”

It’s been a busy 2017 for the duo. Metro dropped joint efforts with NAV (Perfect Timing) and 21 Savage and Offset (Without Warning), while Sean released his fourth solo album, I Decided., in February.
