Khalid Announces 'Roxy Tour' Dates

Khalid is heading to a “Location” near you.

Fresh off his first five Grammy nominations, the soulful crooner has just announced “The Roxy Tour,” set to kick off Jan. 27 at Radio City Music Hall. From there, he will take a few months off before resuming the jaunt on May 1 in Portland.

Khalid, who launched his “American Teen Tour” earlier this year, will continue the North American journey through cities like Vancouver, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Houston, Philadelphia, and Baltimore, before closing out in Raleigh on June 7. Pre-sale for Citi card members starts today, while general tickets go on sale this Saturday at 10 a.m. local time.

The tour was named after Khalid’s new puppy Roxy, who he adopted from a humane pet shelter. “Through the process, it allowed me to realize how important humane shelters are and how powerful animal adoption can be,” he wrote. “For every ticket sold in each city, a donation will be made to a local animal shelter!”

Khalid is celebrating his five Grammy nods, including Best New Artist and Song of the Year (Logic’s “1-800-273-8255”). “Woke up to find out that I’m nominated for 5 Grammys,” he tweeted. “I’m in shock. I’m so thankful man this is unbelievable. First voice I hear in the morning is a phone call from my mom telling me how proud she is of me. I could cry rn hahahaha.”

It was a dream come true for Khalid, who tweeted about the Grammys three years ago. “I want to go to the Grammys one day.” Quoting that tweet, Khalid added: “Wow. I did it.”
