With his new album War & Leisure due next month, Miguel unleashes the video for his latest single, “Told You So.”

The clip, which he co-directed with Karim Huu Do, finds Miguel in a post-apocalyptic war zone, where missiles are flying through the air. The Los Angeles crooner dances across deserted land and on top of an old car to the rhythm.

In between Miguel’s dance sequence, political scenes are intermixed and highlighted, including protests, images of Martin Luther King Jr. and President Donald Trump. Special effects create digital distortions while chaos ensues all over. Finally, with the Sky Walker on his knees, an aircraft explodes in the air.

“A little over a year ago, Karim Hu Doo and I created one of my favorite visuals for one of my favorite songs on War & Leisure called ‘Told You So,'” wrote Miguel.

Expect more political commentary from the singer, whose upcoming album was inspired by the current climate in the country. “With my albums, I always try to take a picture of what’s going on in my life,” he said. “War & Leisure has political undertones, because that’s what life feels like right now.”

War & Leisure is due Dec. 1.
