New Music: Maroon 5 feat. SZA - 'What Lovers Do'
Following collaborations with Kendrick Lamar, Future, and Gucci Mane, Maroon 5 enlists SZA for their latest single “What Lovers Do.”
Over pop-leaning production, Adam Levine and the TDE songstress harmonize about a potential relationship. “Are we too grown for games?” they ask one another. “Are we too grown to play around? / Young enough to chase, but old enough to know better.”
M5 is expected to unveil a cinematic video for the collaboration soon. Recently, Levine posted a video from the set, which found him injured on a hospital bed with SZA playing a nurse’s role.
Earlier this year, Maroon 5 teamed up with Kendrick Lamar for their top 10 hit “Don’t Wanna Know,” Future for “Cold,” and Gucci Mane for “Cold (Remix).” The group has not released a new album since 2014’s V.
Meanwhile, SZA is currently on her “Ctrl Tour,” which is set to run through December.
