Nearly three years since her last album, Jessie J returns with “Real Deal,” a thumping production with hard-hitting drums.

The soulful siren blesses the head-knocking track with infectious melodies and optimistic lyrics about a promising romance. “This could be the real deal,” she sings. “I don’t want to waste it / Take the risk and make it / Ain’t no need for faking / Love is for the taking.”

Although the song is the “Real Deal,” it is not the first single from her upcoming album. In fact, it is only the beginning of things to come. “First single?” she tweeted. “Nah… This is me just getting warmed up.”

The British singer recently hit the beach to shoot a video for “Real Deal,” which finds her enjoying the sunset in a bra, jeans, and baseball jersey.

Jessie has not released a full-length studio album since 2014’s Sweet Talker, which spawned singles like the Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj-assisted “Bang Bang,” “Burnin’ Up,” and “Masterpiece.”
