Video: Major Lazer feat. Travis Scott, Quavo, & Camila Cabello - 'Know No Better'

  /  07.11.2017

Major Lazer’s new video for “Know No Better” takes place in a fantasy world. Although the track features Travis Scott, Quavo, and Camila Cabello, the visual stars a young, aspiring dancer, whose real life blends in with his daydreams.

The young boy finds himself lost between these two worlds. When he’s walking through his modest home, he pretends he’s strutting through his mansion. When his mom takes him to school, he pretends he’s on his way to the studio. When he’s in a science class, he envisions a day in the lab with Camila and La Flame.

Throughout the Philip Andelman-directed clip, real life pales in comparison to his extravagant imagination. However, by the end of the video, he is able to muster up the confidence to dance for the girl of his dreams, as Diplo looks on.

“For me, Major Lazer is the ne plus ultra of dance music videos,” said Andelman. “It’s always been a dream of mine to work with them and be included in their insane canon, which is where the idea for the video started, with a daydream. I used to space out all through high school about being the sickest guitarist in the world to impress girls but all I could play in real life was a quarter-speed version of Slash’s solo from ‘Sweet Child O’Mine.’ I thought it could be fun to do a video that married a kid’s daydream of being a Major Lazer backup dancer (i.e. the ultimate goal for any dancer out there) with the reality of quotidian ass-kickings and unbearable siblings.”

“Know No Better” is the title track of Major Lazer’s six-track EP, which features a bevy of stars, including Sean Paul, J Balvin, Jidenna, Anitta, and many more.
