Stream DJ Mustard's 'Don't Box Me' Remix EP
DJ Mustard refuses to be boxed in. Known for his bouncy hip-hop production, the L.A. hitmaker unleashes the first installment of his genre-bending 3-track remix EP, Don’t Box Me.
Vol. 1 features the Roc Nation super-producer’s take on Lil Uzi Vert’s “XO TOUR Llif3,” Childish Gambino’s “Redbone,” and Khalid’s “Location.” Each track carries elements of the original, with additional Mustard twists.
Blending hip-hop, funk, soul, and electronica, Don’t Box Me is a style-defying project that allows Mustard to flex his various influences and techniques. It arrives in the midst of a DJ club tour, which is set to continue through Aug. 26 at Marquee Dayclub in Las Vegas.
The current tour has been a fitting platform to preview new material. On July 7, Mustard premiered his “XO TOUR Llif3” remix at an Ottawa concert, where fans jumped around to his Lil Uzi remix, with its pounding drop and electronic elements.
Last year, Mustard unveiled his star-studded Cold Summer project. He is currently executive producing YG’s upcoming third album, Know Your Worth.
