DJ Khaled Earns First Hot 100 No. 1 with 'I'm the One'

  /  05.08.2017

“I’m the One” is No. 1.

DJ Khaled’s star-studded Grateful single, which features Justin Bieber, Quavo, Chance the Rapper, and Lil Wayne, debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week.

This is a major accomplishment for the social media mogul, marking his first No. 1 on the coveted chart. It’s also the first for Chance the Rapper and for Quavo as a solo artist. Meanwhile, this is Bieber’s fourth and Weezy’s third.

Khaled celebrated this success online, tweeting: “We did it!!!!!!! GOD IS THE GREATEST!!!! This for my son!!!!!!!!!!!! #GRATEFUL!!!”

A joyous Chance also hit Twitter to revel in the milestone moment. “I GOT MY FIRST NUMBER 1 RECORD @billboard THANK YOU @djkhaled @justinbieber @QuavoStuntin @LilTunechi & THANK YOU https://rapperradio.com,” he wrote.

Much of the song’s success comes from streaming. The “Grateful” single was streamed a whopping 53.9 million times in the week ending May 4. With this win, “I’m the One” knocks Bruno Mars’ “That’s What I Like” down to No. 2.

Bieber is also at No. 3 with his guest appearance on Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee’s “Despacito,” Kendrick Lamar’s “HUMBLE.” falls to No. 4, and Ed Sheehan’s “Shape of You” rounds out the top 5.

From there, Future’s “Mask Off” dips to No. 7, KYLE’s Lil Yachty “iSpy” holds at No. 8, and Lil Uzi Vert’s “XO TOUR Llif3” stays at No. 9. See the full top 10 rundown below.
