Jallal is no stranger to star power. The 23-year-old rapper, who counts Yasiin Bey and Loon as mentors, teams up with Ne-Yo on his new single, “Toss & Turn,” co-produced by Chad Hugo of The Neptunes, Jan Fairchild, and Elliot James.

Premiering exclusively via Rap-Up, the smooth jam finds the burgeoning star catering to the woman of his dreams.

“You’ll never feel alone,” he rhymes. “I’ll be there when you wake / I’ll hold you while you sleep / We’ll be together in our dreams.”

Going along with the nocturnal theme, Ne-Yo brings the hook in. “I don’t wanna toss and turn, not anymore,” he sings. “You, I adore / So won’t you bring this nightmare to an end?”

Jallal calls the song an ode to fun times with a special someone. “To be real, ‘Toss & Turn’ is about reminiscing on the most memorable times I had with the love of my life,” he tells Rap-Up. “My direct motivation for writing the record was insecurity. The type of insecurity you feel when you’re up late at night deprived of sleep thinking about your loved one and where you stand.”

“Toss & Turn” is a single off Jallal’s forthcoming mixtape Off the Radar, due later this month.
