New Music: DeJ Loaf - 'Birdcall 1.5'

  /  05.03.2017

Two years after putting out the original “Bird Call,” DeJ Loaf liberates the sequel, “Birdcall 1.5.” On the Hona Costello-produced track, the Detroit MC does some boasting (“I’m the hardest in this shit, I’m just being honest”) and soul searching (“See back then, the problem was, I was being too humble”).

She also sends a warning (“Hide your kids, hide your family / Who’s snitchin’? / Mind your business”) and flosses her Chanel shoes and Saint Laurent T-shirts (“You know you getting money when your tees cost more than $500”).

When she’s not copping designer goods, DeJ has been busy working on her debut album. In February, she teamed up with Jacquees on their joint mixtape Fuck a Friend Zone.
