Video: Tinashe - 'Flame'
Let it burn. Tinashe sparks a “Flame” in the explosive video for her latest single.
The R&B siren opens the fiery clip in bed with her man, played by model Geron McKinley. Things seem to be going well for the happy couple, with breakfast in bed, a pillow fight, and even some fun times by the pool. But there’s something else going on beneath the surface that isn’t quite right, and that’s where the “Flame” concept comes to life.
With two bottles of alcohol and a match, Tinashe begins setting her place ablaze. She makes sure every inch of the home is in flames, and throws old Polaroids into a fire. She smashes a bottle of wine and then fiercely melts memories of her ex, all while wearing thigh-high boots and lingerie.
Tinashe plans to release her sophomore album Joyride at some point this year featuring production from Tricky Stewart, The-Dream, Sir Nolan, Charlie Handsome, Metro Boomin, Boi-1da, and possibly even Britney Spears.
“It’s going to come out when it comes out,” she told Rap-Up. “I’m just excited to continue to release new material. I have a lot of new music and I’m really excited about that. It’s all good things.”
