It’s been a long time coming. As they gear up for their final album this summer, TLC has unleashed the lead single, “Way Back,” a nostalgic collaboration with Snoop Dogg.

T-Boz kicks off the breezy jam with a statement that can work for the album itself. “It’s been a long, long time comin’,” she sings.

Later, Chilli adds some more throwback vibes. “We go way back,” she sings. “Like James Brown and Michael J / Like them high school parties / Some things don’t ever change / Yeah, you and me, we go way back.”

Meanwhile, Tha Doggfather lends some loving rhymes of his own. “Baby, can you help me find a real one?” he asks. “Not a phony / I want her on me / Never leave me lonely / Be my tenderoni!”

T-Boz and Chilli are filming a video for the song later this month. They also have a photo shoot slated to take place around the same time, presumably for the album artwork.

TLC’s Kickstarter-funded final album is set for release on June 30. The group is currently taking fan suggestions for its title.

Starting in July, T-Boz and Chilli will co-headline the “I Love the ’90s – The Party Continues Tour” with Sugar Ray, Naughty By Nature, C+C Music Factory, and more.
