New Music: Ariana Grande & John Legend - 'Beauty and the Beast'

  /  02.03.2017

Tale as old as time. Twenty-six years since the original, Ariana Grande and John Legend unite on their highly-anticipated remake of “Beauty and the Beast” for the live-action film adaptation of Disney’s animated classic.

Produced by Ron Fair, the newly-recorded version finds the pop princess and R&B crooner reimagining Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson’s 1991 classic, which earned an Academy Award, a Golden Globe, and two Grammys.

The two stay true to the original, singing, “Tale as old as time / Tune as old as song / Bittersweet and strange / Finding you can change / Learning you were wrong.”

The Beauty and the Beast soundtrack, which includes contributions from Dion, Alan Menken, and Tim Rice, will be released on March 10, while the film, starring Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, and Ewan McGregor, hits theaters on March 17.

A video for Grande and Legend’s duet has also been shot with Dave Meyers (Missy Elliott, Janet Jackson), and is expected to debut soon.
