Pen Griffey shared a similar note back in October, when he captioned an Instagram self-portrait with “album almost done.” He also dropped the single “Let Me Explain,” which could land on the forthcoming effort.
Released in October 2015, Trapsoul became Tiller’s breakthrough effort and made him one of music’s most-sought-after stars. The success carried over through much of 2016. In April of last year, the debut LP was certified platinum and he capped off the year with a Grammy nomination for Best R&B Song for “Exchange.”
In addition to readying True to Self, Tiller has been in the lab with Drake cooking up a collaboration for the latter’s More Life project.
