Video: Lil Yachty feat. Quavo & Skippa da Flippa - 'Minnesota'
Lil Yachty is cooler than cool in the music video for “Minnesota,” the latest single off this year’s Lil Boat project, which features Quavo and Skippa da Flippa.
Dressed as a hockey player celebrating a championship, Yachty explains just how cold he is. “I got gold all on my necklace,” he sings. “Tatted up my arms / Now my momma think I’m reckless / Got guns under my mattress.”
With snow falling on them, Quavo and Skippa join in on the fun while Yachty and his team pour champagne in their championship cup.
“Minnesota” is paying dividends for Yachty. An alternate version of the track was used in a Sprite commercial last month. Instead of the “cold like Minnesota” hook, the ad had him singing about being “cold like a Sprite soda.”
