After releasing his highly-anticipated DC4 mixtape, Meek Mill speaks out about his much-discussed Drake beef.

In a special episode of the “Tax Season” podcast, Meek explains why he wasn’t fazed by Drizzy’s “Back to Back” slander.

“I ain’t think it was no shit that people was gonna be like, ‘You got killed,'” says Meek. “I thought it was hot…Like when we shoot at ni**as, you gotta shoot a ni**a through the heart. When you wake up in the mirror, you looking in the mirror, you hearing what the ni**a told you, some shit about yourself that you can’t even deal with. That’s how we battle where we come from.”

“When Nas and Jay Z battled and ni**as was hittin’ at each other,” he added. “They trying to hit you in your head.”

According to Meek, “Back to Back” didn’t have a lyric that was especially harmful. “What was the shot that hit me?” he asks.

It looks like the conversation goes on from there with Tax wondering why Meek failed to respond immediately.

Though that’s where the preview ends. The full Meek Mill episode of “Tax Season” is due Oct. 31.
