Lil Wayne & Chocolate Droppa Battle in BET Hip-Hop Awards Cypher

  /  10.05.2016

Weezy and Droppa face off.

Lil Wayne and Kevin Hart’s alter ego Chocolate Droppa delivered the first-ever one-on-one cypher at the BET Hip-Hop Awards, which aired Tuesday (Oct. 4).

Backed by DJ Drama and surrounded by fog, Tunechi goes “Conan, barbarian” while rapping about ecstasy, Viagra, and murderous scenes.

“Split your head in two like split decisions, slime,” he raps. “I’ve been to hell and back, came back in mint condition, slime.”

Hart’s rhymin’ alter ego takes over from there. “You did it to yourself, people,” Chocolate raps. “Droppa back, ’bout to do it to you people / That anger’s at an all time high / I eat my bread, I’m talking rye.”

Of course, this wasn’t the only cypher at the BET Awards. Other cyphers included Dave East, Young M.A., Kent Jones, Nick Grant, Jidenna, Consequence, 3D Na-Tee, Freeway, Beanie Sigel, and State Property, among others.

Wayne and Droppa are both getting ready to release new material. For Weezy, that means his revealing book Gone ‘Til November: A Journal of Rikers Island. For Droppa, that means What Now? The Mixtape, which arrives on Oct. 14, the same day as Kevin Hart’s standup film of the same name.
