Rick Ross Pays Tribute to Shawty Lo on 'I'm Da Man'

  /  10.01.2016

Shawty Lo tributes continue pouring in.

After Beyoncé honored the late D4L rapper in Atlanta earlier this week, Rick Ross shares an homage over Lo’s “I’m Da Man” instrumental.

“One time for real ni**as like Lo,” says Ross in the intro. “Doing this one for you, my ni**a.” Then, following his verse, Renzel adds: “My ni**a died, bless his soul.”

The track finishes off with Lo’s original verses.

Last month, Shawty Lo died in a single-car automobile accident that took place in Southern Fulton County, Georgia.

On Friday (Sept. 30), friends and family gathered for Lo’s funeral, which made a pit stop at one of Lo’s favorite strip clubs, The Blue Flame, according to TMZ. A moment of silence was held in his honor before his “Dey Know” single was played for the strip club patrons.

A “Shawty Lo Tribute” event featuring the remaining members of D4L is now scheduled to take place Oct. 7 as part of A3C. See details below.
