New Music: Kid Ink - 'One Day'

Kid Ink gets inspirational on his new Rocketshipshawty 2 release, “One Day.”

Following “Die in It,” the D.A. Doman-produced track allows the Batgang boss to reflect on his life’s trajectory. “This life ain’t ever gonna go the way you planned it,” he raps. “Sometimes you gotta take a seat just so you could stand it / And everybody ain’t gon’ understand it.”

The song is an aspirational anthem with an infectious uncredited chorus that says: “I’m gonna make it one day. I’m gonna be famous one day.”

“One Day” is the latest release off the long-awaited Rocketshipshawty 2, a mixtape that’s now slated to blast off on Sept. 20.
