DeJ Loaf is trying to make you put your “Phone Down” with her latest “DeJMix,” which takes on Erykah Badu’s jam off her mixtape But You Caint Use My Phone.
The charismatic Detroit rhymer uses the mellow track to break down social media, while boasting about her skills.
“I don’t care what’s on your timeline,” she raps. “Fuck Instagram and Twitter / I’m already verified / I can make you put your phone down.”
Earlier today, DeJ also promised to drop another song, “Hold It Down,” under a specific condition. “If they release my little brother out of jail today,” she tweeted, “I will release this song!”
Lil Loaf is coming off a hot year. Back in April, she unleashed her mixtape All Jokes Aside. Now, she’s continuing to work on her debut album.
