First Look: Mariah Carey Guest Stars on 'Empire'

Lambs, get ready. Mariah Carey is coming to “Empire,” and here’s your first look.

The iconic songstress takes on the role of “mega-superstar” Kitty in a new trailer for the show’s third season. Mariah’s character duets with Jussie Smollett’s Jamal Lyon and helps him “dig deep to overcome personal difficulties and reach a musical breakthrough.”

The brief clip also features cameos from Xzibit and Kid Cudi, who plays Gram, an independent rapper and rival to Hakeem.

“Empire’s” third season kicks off Sept. 21 on FOX. Mariah is also set to premiere her new E! docu-series “Mariah’s World” on Dec. 4.
