Video: Bankroll Fresh - 'Ran Up a Check'

  /  08.03.2016

Rest in peace, Bankroll Fresh.

The Atlanta rapper, who died in March, would have turned 29 on Tuesday (Aug. 2). In honor of his birthday, his friends join forces in the video for the late MC’s song “Ran Up a Check.”

Comprised of footage from JB, DJ E Sudd, and Joe Moore Productions, the visual shows Bankroll in happier times with loved ones, playing basketball, working in the studio, and performing onstage. “I done ran up a motherfuckin’ check,” he raps.

Bankroll was shot and killed outside of 2 Chainz’s Street Execs Studio in Atlanta on March 4. Following his death, Tity Boi opened up about their bond. “He was an authentic trap rapper from Atlanta, who touched many lives and lit up every room he went to,” he said. “It was super unfortunate, super unnecessary, super senseless. And it just made me want to step up and use my platform for more positivity.”

Watch his legacy live on in the video below.
